About

A solemn sung Eucharist for the Martyrdom of King Charles I, on the anniversary of his execution, according to the 1637 Scottish Liturgy, with choral music from the reign of Charles I.  The celebrant is The Bishop of Edinburgh, with the address by Major-General Alastair Bruce of Crionaich, Governor of Edinburgh Castle.  King Charles I founded the diocese of Edinburgh in 1633 so this is, in a sense, the ‘Founder’s Day’ of our Diocese.
