Max Carsley

Max Carsley is the Assistant Organist at St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral where he accompanies the Cathedral choir and helps train the choristers. He grew up in Edinburgh and was a chorister at St Mary’s while attending St Mary’s Music School. He studied Church Music at the University of Arts, Berlin with Prof. Henry Fairs and directed the English Choir Berlin and the Vocalkreis Potsdam. He returned to Edinburgh in 2026 after being organ scholar at Salisbury Cathedral. He is a recipient of the ABRSM Ehrlich Award for singing and is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists. Max has performed in venues including the Philharmonie Berlin, Paderborn Cathedral and the Royal Albert Hall.
