We are always delighted to welcome visiting choirs, especially during July and the weeks at the beginning and end of August, when our own Cathedral Choir takes its summer break. There are several other possible times during the year when our Choir is not in residence, and Saturday throughout the year is also open to visiting choirs who would like to sing Choral Evensong. The basic pattern of our weekly sung services is as follows:
Sunday
10.30am Choral Eucharist – with a choral mass setting and motet (choirs can also lead a congregational mass, if preferred)
3.30pm Choral Evensong – with introit, responses, psalm(s), canticles, and anthem
Weekdays
5.30pm Choral Evensong (Tuesday-Friday) – sung responses, psalms, canticles and an anthem
