Max Carsley performs French twentieth-century composer Olivier Messiaen's organ epic 'La Nativité du Seigneur' on the Cathedral's famous Willis organ. All are welcome to this free service, which will be interspersed with seasonal readings.

All are welcome to this liturgical performance by Max Carsley of French composer Olivier Messiaen's organ epic La Nativité du Seigneur, on the Cathedral's renowned Willis organ.
This free service will consist of musical meditations on the organ, interspersed with seasonal readings for Christmastime.
About Max Carsley
Max grew up in Edinburgh as a chorister at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral where he also attended St Mary’s Music School.
He currently studies Church Music with Prof. Henry Fairs at the Universität der Künste Berlin. He conducts the English Choir Berlin, accompanies the university choirs and directs the Vocalkreis Potsdam.
Max has held several positions at St Mary’s, including music scholar, deputy lay clerk and acting Assistant Organist. He is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists and has performed in venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Berliner Dom and Paderborn Cathedral.
