Free lunchtime recitals every day from 2nd to 31st August, except Sundays and 16th. An opportunity to hear emerging and established artists performing in a wide variety of styles, genres, and instruments. This long-running series is undoubtedly one of the hidden gems of the Fringe.

Now in its fourth year, the St Mary’s Music School Piano Summer School offers a comprehensive and broad-ranging programme aimed at talented pianists, aged 13 to 17, who wish to expand their horizons and playing capability.
This intensive course includes expert tuition from senior staff, individual coaching sessions, performance opportunities, duo work with a resident violinist, Alexander Technique, mindfulness and yoga. It is designed to give a holistic introduction to the musical, mental and physical skills needed to grow as a pianist and is suitable for those who aspire to study at conservatoire, university and professional level as well as those who simply wish to hone their skills in an atmosphere which is fun, supportive and encouraging.
Daily staff workshops and concerts as well as trips out to Edinburgh Festival Concerts are included in the weeks activities and has welcomed participants from Greece, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Dubai, USA, Luxembourg and Spain.
