Free lunchtime recitals every day from 2nd to 31st August, except Sundays and 16th. An opportunity to hear emerging and established artists performing in a wide variety of styles, genres, and instruments. This long-running series is undoubtedly one of the hidden gems of the Fringe.

Neil Mantle MBE was born in Essex and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has combined a successful career as a freelance horn player with RSNO, SCO and Scottish Opera amongst other organisations with conducting-both choral and orchestra. Additionally he was an examiner to ABRSM for many years-retiring in 2022.
He has been awarded an ARAM –an honour accorded to past students who have attained distinction in their chosen field and an MBE in the Queen’s Honours List for services to music in Scotland.
Gillian Gray: Coming from a musical family, she received a scholarship to the Nottinghamshire County Music School. After graduating from RNCM she moved to Edinburgh to take up her present appointment on the piano faculty of City of Edinburgh Music School.
In addition to her activities as a chamber music performer, Gillian has appeared with Scottish Sinfonia in concertos by Beethoven, Mozart, Rachmaninov and Schumann
