About

Open to all community groups, activists, artists, & friends of ECCAN, Creative Carbon Scotland and A+E. This networking event brings together artists, climate activists, community groups and organisations to launch a year-long programme. It aims to support all involved in climate action through sharing and collaboration. We aim to have an equal distribution between artists and representatives from community groups and organisations.  This follows on from Creative Carbon Scotland’s SPRINGBOARD Edinburgh local assembly in February, and is hosted by Jonathan Baxter, from the Arts and Ecology project at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, We will:

  • explore the role of art and creativity in climate engagement
  • facilitate networking and brainstorming sessions
  • match artists with projects
  • gain practical insights from the Arts and Ecology project at St Mary’s
  •  and seed project ideas for the city.

The event is organised by A+E, ECCAN, and Creative Carbon Scotland, and we hope it will launch a series of exchange-visits exploring the impact of embedded artists on community-led climate projects.
