Singer, musician, human rights advocate and war correspondent, Marichka is the powerful lead voice of the project, in which she performs with a string quartet and bandurist Alina Kuzma. Marichka is a former member of Canadian folk ensembles Lemon Bucket Orkestra and Balaklava Blues and has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Barbican Centre and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and won an Amnesty International Prize.
Marichka has been travelling back and forth between Canada and Ukraine to research this project: meeting families that are victims of this horrific crime.
