About
This year, our traditional Christmas morning service to celebrate the birth of Christ will be broadcast live on BBC1. With music from our wonderful Cathedral Choir and a sermon from Rt Revd Dagmar Winter, Bishop of Edinburgh.
NB: due to BBC1 scheduling decisions, the service start time will be confirmed by email by the beginning of December. 10am or thereabouts is very likely. Please also note that the final entry for this service is 9:30am, i.e. 30 mins before the service begins.
This is a religious service, with pre-booking due to its popularity. Our doors open from c. 9:30am, and seating within the Cathedral is unreserved (some seats are unsighted). We invite you to donate as much or little as you feel able to.
NB: due to BBC1 scheduling decisions, the service start
