St Mary's Cathedral is looking for somebody to join our team as full-time Assistant Organist, working alongside the director and assistant director of music.

The creation of the post of Assistant Organist comes at an exciting time in the musical life of the Cathedral as we establish new choirs, further strengthen our partnership with St Mary's Music School, expand our music programme, and link with a growing number of organisations in Edinburgh. Our third full-time musician will be a key member of the music department as our programme develops.  As an accomplished organist, they will share the responsibility for playing the organ for cathedral services and gain further experience rehearsing and conducting the cathedral choir. They will also have specific responsibilities in some of the new areas mentioned above.

 

The salary of this full-time post will be in the region of £24,000.  The closing date for applications is Friday 15th March.
