An Advent Meditation for Organ

Join us after Evensong on Sunday 7^th December for a short meditation for the advent season in the candlelit choir stalls, with Assistant Director of Music Imogen Morgan playing Nico Muhly's O Antiphon Preludes for Organ. Each prelude is based on one of the seven Great O Antiphons for Advent, and will be played in alternum with the original plainsong, sung by lay clerk Jarek Jankowski. Each antiphon refers to one of the titles Jesus is given in Scripture, concluding with Emmanuel - 'God with us'.
