A long-running and popular series of lunchtime recitals in one of Edinburgh's most beautiful concert spaces. Today, violin-and-piano duet India Reilly and John Cameron perform Bach, Dvorak, and Ravel's virtuosic Tzigane.

This long-running and very popular series of lunchtime recitals features a wide variety of performers, playing and singing in one of Edinburgh's most beautiful concert spaces. These concerts are free by donation, and a perfect way to spend a lunchtime during the busy festival!

Biography

India Reilly is an 18 year old violinist who recently graduated from St Mary's Music School, where she studied with Dr. Valerie Pearson. She is a winner of the Winifred Gavine medal for solo performance and the Horace Fellowes medal for chamber music at the Edinburgh Competition Festival. In June 2023 she won the Director's Recital Prize at St Mary's Music School. She is a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, regularly working under well- known conductors such as Sir Mark Elder and Alexandre Bloch, and performed in the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms. She recently performed in a side by side project with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, working with conductor Andrew Manze. India will attend the Royal College of Music in September.

John Cameron is Director of Music and Head of Keyboard at St Mary’s Music School.
