This long-running and very popular series of lunchtime recitals features a wide variety of performers, playing and singing in one of Edinburgh's most beautiful concert spaces. These concerts are free by donation, and a perfect way to spend a lunchtime during the busy festival!

Biography

Gordon Ferries studied Classical guitar at Napier University and the RSAMD, going on to specialise in early guitar and lute. He has now established himself as a leading exponent of the Baroque guitar, having released five solo discs and three ensemble recordings with the Delphian label.

Gordon has worked for both television and radio, including ‘Scotland’s music’ with Concerto Caledonia. Gordon is a composer and has numerous books of his own compositions published by Bergmann editions. He is also a skilled accompanist and has worked with many singers, most recently the tenor Stuart Murray Mitchell.

Gordon is also much in demand as a teacher of both young people and adults.
