Cathedral Retreat

After two years of being prevented by Covid restrictions from going away together, we are delighted to have the opportunity to go on retreat once again this year, at Whitchester, near Hawick in the Borders.  It will be led by Janet Spence, our Chaplain, on a topic that has yet to be finalised. This will not be a silent retreat, rather an opportunity to spend time in prayer, reflection and fellowship with other members of the Cathedral. 

We would plan to arrive on Friday afternoon in time to settle in before the meal at 6 o’clock; and to leave on the Sunday afternoon after worship and Sunday lunch together.  Those who have been on retreat with us before will already know how special these times together can be. But if you’ve never been on a retreat before, please appreciate how welcome you would be, and think about coming along. Even a short time spent in beautiful surroundings, being looked after, and able to focus on something other than day to day necessities, can be expansive and illuminating. We get to know each other, our clergy, and the meaning of God in our lives a little better, and all these connections enrich our lives.
