Marianne Hansen (2003) and Maureen van IJzerloo (2003) have been performing together as a piano duo since they were twelve years old. What began as a shared love for four-hand piano music has developed into a deep musical partnership.

Marianne Hansen (2003) and Maureen van IJzerloo (2003) have been performing together as a piano duo since they were twelve years old. What began as a shared love for four-hand piano music has developed into a deep musical partnership. Both students at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, they study piano under Nino Gvetadze, receive ensemble coaching from Shuann Chai and have taken part in masterclasses with Wibi Soerjadi, who described them as:
“An outstanding piano duo with extraordinary qualities in ensemble and musical expression… Their authentic and sincere way of playing makes the music resonate with emotion and inner strength”.
Marianne and Maureen have performed on prestigious stages including the Jurriaanse Zaal in De Doelen (Rotterdam) and the Festival d’Anniviers in Switzerland. Their playing is characterized by refined timing, expressive depth and a strong sense of communication on stage.
