The free lunchtime recitals at St Mary's have a been a Fringe favourite for the last 20 years. Come and hear some of Edinburgh's best classical musicians, including singers, pianists, string quartets, wind quintets, choirs and more, all in the most beautiful acoustic in the city.

Biography

William Guo is 17 and currently studying the violin with Dr Pearson and piano with Mr Sharp at St Mary’s Music School. In 2024, William was the winner of the school’s prestigious internal Lord Clyde Concerto competition, performing four movements from Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole in the Edinburgh Queen’s Hall and Glasgow City Halls. He was also selected for a collaboration with the RSNO, performing Wieniawski’s Scherzo Tarantella in a pre-concert showcase at the Usher Hall.
