faith + growth
The Faith + Growth Group seeks to enhance knowledge of the Christian faith and of the Bible, increase awareness of the spiritual dimension of our beliefs, and provide a basis in the Cathedral community for personal growth in our shared faith. All of these aspects of our work are important to the Cathedral as a place of worship, prayer and learning for all members of the congregation. Most of the activities are led by experienced lay people as well as the clergy. Experts from outside of the congregation provide invaluable and essential resources for specfic events. For many activities we meet in small groups and each has a theme - we have a Book Group and a Poetry Group, both of which meet periodically (please keep and eye on the magazine and service sheets), a Men's Group which meets on the first and third Thursday of each month and an informal Discussion Group which meets at 8.15am on a Saturday after the morning service.
After the 10.30 Eucharist on the first Sunday of each month we run a bookstall with a selection of books from the Cornoerstone Bookshop available to buy.
